Author Profile
Stephen W. Rankin
Rankin (PhD) is a John Wesley Fellow, Elder in The United Methodist Church, and chaplain at Southern Methodist University. His research interests revolve around three major themes: (1) the faith and vocational development of young people, especially college students, (2) the linkage of faith and reason in higher education, and (3) the contours of effective Christian witness. His recent book, Aiming at Maturity: The Goal of the Christian Life (Wipf & Stock, 2011), reflects his abiding concern to translate scholarship that can seem too technical and abstract for people outside the academy but that can help us all live fruitful, joyous Christian lives.
