Author Profile
Phil Meadows
Meadows is an ordained presbyter in the Irish Methodist Church. He was lecturer in theology and religious studies at Westminster College, Oxford, before spending six years as E. Stanley Jones Professor of Evangelism at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary. Since returning to the UK in 2004, he has been lecturer in missiology and Wesleyan studies at Cliff College, and is currently Senior Research Fellow at the Nazarene Theological College. His research and publication interests combine theology, spirituality, and discipleship in the Wesleyan tradition with the missionary challenges of contemporary culture. This is reflected in his recent book, The Wesleyan DNA of Discipleship (Grove, 2013). He is a co-founder and director of the Inspire Movement, an international and ecumenical network seeking to resource mission-shaped discipleship in the leadership and life of the church.
